Out of Province High School Applicants

We carefully consider each applicant based on a review of academic transcripts and activities outside the classroom which you will report when you complete the Online Student Profile (our supplemental application). If your first language is not English, we may also require that you provide proof that you have satisfied your English Language Requirement.

Academic Requirements

Candidates from Canadian provinces and territories outside of Ontario will be considered for admission based on the following criteria:

  • Completion of or on track to complete diploma requirements as defined by the Ministry of Education in their province or territory
  • Completion and/or proof of enrolment, as listed below

The Admissions Committee considers a candidate’s overall academic history with emphasis on the prerequisite course average. You must present grades of 70% or higher in individual prerequisite courses to qualify for admission consideration. Please note that successful candidates typically present much higher grades.

Prerequisite courses must be completed within five years of your intended start date. For example, any applicant whose intended start date is September 2024 must have completed the prerequisite requirements after September 2019 for admissions consideration. If you have completed the prerequisite requirements more than five years before your intended start date, you may be required to complete them once more.

If you are following a mixed curriculum, your application will be reviewed on the basis of your overall academic record. If you have completed any Grade 11 or 12 prerequisite requirements in another education system, ensure you report all activities when completing your Online Student Profile.
