Non-degree students are those taking courses offered by the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, who are not working towards an undergraduate degree within the Faculty. Often these are “visiting students,” who have received a letter of permission from their home university and are working towards a degree at that institution.
Non-degree students are considered on the basis of their overall academic record and space availability in these courses. With the limited number of places available within the Faculty, priority is given to degree-level students. Please note that students who are currently applying for undergraduate degree studies in the Faculty are not eligible to enrol in courses as a non-degree student.
If you are currently located in Canada and are interested in applying as a non-degree student contact the Engineering Undergraduate Admissions Office to obtain a Non-Degree Student Application. Application deadlines are:
- Fall session (September): August 1
- Winter session (January): November 1
- Summer session: March 1 (only first year courses available)
If you are currently located outside of Canada contact the Centre for International Experience to see if your institution has a formal exchange agreement with the University of Toronto.
If you are a student at a North American university and want to enrol in course(s) in the Faculty of Arts & Science on the St. George campus for credit towards your degree at your home university, you should contact Woodsworth College Visiting Students Program.
