The U of T Engineering Shadow Experience will provide you with the opportunity to shadow a current U of T Engineering student for a day to see what it is like to be an Engineering student at the University of Toronto.
You'll get to share what you know about U of T and the engineering community and discuss how you explore your passions.
Please note that at this time, the program is reserved for Grade 12 students only. Shadow experiences can take place between October to November for the fall semester and between mid-January to March for the winter semester.
Visits will take place between 8:45AM and 5:00PM, Mondays to Fridays.
Registration & Matching Process
- To participate in this program, please complete the Shadow Experience Registration Form to let us know that you are interested in shadowing one of our students. To decide on what programs you are interested in, check out this overview of our programs. Kindly note that the shadow experiences run based on the availability of our students and that every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred dates.
- Once we receive your application, it will take up to 3 weeks to match you with an Engineering Student Ambassador. Engineering Student Ambassadors are current U of T Engineering students who have been trained to speak with prospective undergraduate students. If you are interested in learning more about the admission process, you are welcome to book an appointment with a Recruitment Officer during your visit to campus.
- Once we match you with a student, we will connect you with the Engineering Student Ambassador you have been paired with and provide you with the details you need to know for your visit.
Following your visit, we will ask that you provide us with any thoughts and comments about your experience. We value your feedback and will use them to improve the program for other students.
If there are any changes to your schedule and you will need to cancel your visit, please contact the Senior Recruitment Officer as soon as possible.
