Candidates must be completing the Caribbean Examinations Council Examinations (CAPE) diploma (6 units) offered by the Caribbean Examinations Council and must present:
- Three CAPE Unit I examination subjects including Math, Chemistry and Physics
- Three CAPE Unit II examination subjects including Math, Chemistry and Physics
- Candidates must also demonstrate excellent overall CSEC (Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate) or Ordinary Level results in the prerequisite subjects in order to be considered for admission.
Candidates with a final or predicted grade 3 or below in any prerequisite course will not be considered for admission. Candidates writing the CAPE examinations during the current academic year will be considered for a conditional offer of admission based on predicted results received by their academic institution and overall academic record.
Please visit English Language Requirements to evaluate if you are required to present proof of English Facility. If you do not meet the English Language Requirements at the time of admission or you are worried that your test score will not meet our minimum requirements, you may want to consider applying for the International Foundation Program (IFP).
Submission of Documents
Applicants are required to submit secondary school transcripts, showing all years of study including current interim results and predicted CAPE Unit II results, via the Applicant Portal’s document upload feature prior to February 1. When available, final CAPE certificate results should be sent directly to the Engineering Undergraduate Admissions office at the University of Toronto from the issuing body.
