Special Students are those taking courses offered by the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, but are not working towards an undergraduate degree within the Faculty. Often these are “visiting students,” who have received a letter of permission from their home university and are working towards a degree at that institution.
Special Students are considered on the basis of their academic record and space availability in these courses. With the limited number of places available within the Faculty, priority is given to degree-level students.
Contact the Engineering Undergraduate Admissions Office to obtain a Special Student Application. Submit completed application by August 1 for fall term or November 1 for winter term.
Contact the Centre for International Experience to apply through the Visiting International Students Program.
Please note that students who are currently applying for undergraduate degree studies in the Faculty may not enrol in courses as a Special Student.
